Role overview: We are looking for Peripatetic Domestic Violence Workers to join our dynamic team. These are exciting opportunities for experienced support workers who enjoy a varied role.
Responsibilities: You will deliver a high quality professional service to survivors of domestic violence living in our refuges and to those who access our floating support services and IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy) services. You will work from any of our national sites, providing cover for colleagues who are absent or on leave according to the needs of the service.


You will be available to travel including some Monday – Friday overnight stays during assignments.


Your role will involve providing invaluable practice and emotional support to women and their children such as advocacy, support and guidance around welfare, housing and legal entitlements as well as supporting women to move to safe and permanent accommodation.


Essential skills or experience: The successful candidates will have strong organisational skills, good written and verbal communication, and an understanding of the importance of maintaining professional boundaries. Direct experience of providing support to women is essential as is a current understanding of legislation relating to domestic violence including civil/criminal legislation and welfare rights. The ability to work as part of an on-call rota is also essential.
