Preventing the Deaths of Women in Prison

The Independent Advisory Panel on deaths in custody has published the results of its rapid evidence collection on preventing the deaths of women in prison. The report makes a number of recommendations for improvements in the community; in prison; mental health; transfer of information; family contact; and preparation for release.
