MOPAC (Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime) are currently undertaking a consultation for the second mayoral strategy on violence against women and girls (2013-16); the consultation is now open and closes on 9 August 2013. Like the first strategy, the second will be an integrated VAWG strategy with prevention at its heart, but MOPAC’s aim this time is to focus on action and the delivery of fewer commitments, which they think will have a bigger impact. This is an opportunity to have your say and inform the development of the London VAWG strategy, which will be published in autumn 2013.
This is an important consultation for the women’s sector and WRC are putting together a response. We have produced a briefing on the consultation which you can view by clicking through to the 'consultations' tab here on our website. If you would like to include your views in our template response please click here to see the consultation questions. Please fill in those questions which you feel are relevant to your organisation. Our survey will close on 5 August.
Alternatively, if you would prefer to respond directly to MOPAC they have an online survey link here or you can submit written responses by email. The consultation can be found here. You can also telephone MOPAC to request a paper or telephone survey on: 020 7983 5536
