Hammersmith & Fulham Rising!

Please join Standing Together Against Domestic Violence from 12-1.30pm in Lyric Square, Hammersmith W6 0QL to Strike, Dance and Rise as part of One BIllion Rising! (www.onebillionrising.org).

ONE BILLION RISING is an international call to action based on the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. With the world population at 7 billion, this adds up to more than ONE BILLION WOMEN AND GIRLS. On February 14, 2013, Standing Together Against Domestic Violence and Hammersmith and Fulham will join activists, writers, thinkers, celebrities, and women and men across the world as we express outrage, demand change, strike, dance, and RISE in defiance of the injustices women suffer, demanding an end at last to violence against women.

We hope YOU will join us!
Look for our table in the market in Lyric Square and come and dance with us over lunchtime! We will have a resource table with information on local violence against women services, plenty of fun activities and we will also be playing fantastic music to dance along to. We will be wearing red and black on the day and we encourage you to as well!
Please forward this on to your friends and colleagues and invite them to Strike Dance and Rise on 14th February with us!
If you have any questions or would like to get involved in the event please contact m.field@standingtogether.org.uk!
